La Gavina is a school for boys and girls from four months to three years, whose educational project is mainly based on providing them with a happy, cheerful and affectionate enviornament in addition to learning knowledge and habits for their future. Always taking into account their development and individual needs. We are a trilingual school, Spanish, Catalan and English are the languages of the center.
It was founded in 1984 at Laforja Street 19, as a life project full of love and enthusiasm and, in 2014 we opened a second location at Marc Aureli Street 22-36, with the same desire and a renewed illusion of continue giving all our love to the little ones. The educational project is the same at both schools.
Each classroom has two qualified and lovely teachers with whom the children will play, learn and have fun every day. Daily we do fine motor skills activities, music, storytelling…, always in a relaxed and constructive environment. Emotions are worked every week with different tools since getting students to understand their feelings is very important for their development.
The garden is very important in La Gavina since we do many outdoor activities. Our outdoor spaces are 600 m2 and 280 m2 with all the safety measures that allow us to do many psychomotor activities, mural painting and lots of games.
SCHEDULE
The school schedule is from 9 to 17 pm, and we have permanence service from 8-9 am and 17-18 pm. Our schedule is flexible, children can be brought and picked up at the time needed within their schedule as we are a school fully committed to work-family balance.

SPACES
La Gavina is created in an indulged, cared, confortable and happy environment with all the necessary measures for guarantee the security and wellness of our children.
· Classrooms: Every classroom is adapted to the student age and is equipped with all de teaching material needed in each stage. We have large, exterior and with lots of natural light classrooms. Every classroom has a changing area or adapted toilet.
· Open area: We have big outdoor gardens (600 mt2 and 280 mt2) with big spaces for running, exploring and happily playing with friends.
· Own Kitchen: We have our own kitchen, with professional cooks that allows us adapt to all our students needs, preparing different diets if necessary so families don’t have to worry. All our children love school food because is cooked with love!
ACTIVITIES
During the year we organise three parties in which families, granddads and all the family members and friends are invited! The parties are on Christmas, with the royal page visit, Carnival, with a school surprise decoration, and the Graduation, when we say goodbye to our loved children of P2.
At the parties we can know you better and we have lots of fun, for us we all are a big family!

Cultural outgoings
We organise different cultural activities to the zoo, Easter egg hunting at the park… but we realise activities to promote a healthy life style with the Caprabo “Tria bo, tria sa” program too.
School with heart (Cáritas):
We have lots of activities to teach the little ones the importance of the social causes. We work directly with Caritas, Aura Foundation, nursing homes…
Yoga
We do weekly yoga with the p1 and p2 students to teach them the importance of relaxation or finding a daily moment to disconnect of the world and connecting with yourself.
